I'd like to thank...

Mr. Wolkoviak for the love of writing I have today!!!!!

For those of you that weren't with me at the lovely Our Lady of Wisdom Catholic Elementary School, Mr Wolkoviak was my third grade teacher. He was lovely and called me his secretary, because I wore blazers. Even in grade three, yes I wore blazers in school and was the girl known as never wearing pants AND NO NOT BECAUSE I WAS PULLING A BRITNEY rather I preferred much more sophisticated things like skirts and dresses :)

I'm telling you I loved this shit even before I knew what I was doing... I would like to thank Jacob Jr. for my pre-pubescent love of fashion which was DA BOMB when I was younger and my cooler cousin Kyla Armstrong-Miller who gave me the BEST damn garbage bagged hand-me-downs EVER... seriously, most of the clothing still had their sales tags on them and were never worn so it was beyond amazing.

back to writing...loved it from when I could remember. If I was living at home with the rents I'm sure I would be able to pull some awesome excerpts of my previous work but for not so unfortunately for me I live in a den (for serious) downtown and don't have those special memories with me. BUT I do remember Mr. Wolkoviak making the coolest writing exercises which have clearly lasted in my memory. Mainly because they were contests which I won.

hahahhahahahha

okay come on... I did win a few.... the best poem for Remembrance Day was one of my conquests... and the prize was a troll!!! I DEFINITELY remember that one, loved the trolls!

Anyways my whole point of this blabber is that I would like to THANK all those people that have supported me in the past towards my writing. These days in school, I feel that I am more hard than ever receiving some of the feedback which I know will only lead to progress but it can still hurt ya know? Just sting like a paper cut. I am very grateful that I have this beauty of a little red book as an outlet to really tell it like it is. CP style OR NOT!!!!!

p.s. for those of you there WERE in school with me, how the hell do you spell his name??? the poor guy, I feel like I butchered it but its seems nowhere to be found, well on the internet that is haha

so it didn't happen my way...

but I made the best of it!

Spring Break or Reading Week learning of 2010. Last minute vacations a.k.a those all inclusive deals : Not a good idea. Some of you are probably saying DUH... but I had faith that my boy and I were going to find a good deal. We literally waited for two or three days before booking because we thought that would be cheapest... ya not so much... lets just say I was completely packed, had a mani pedi and even squeezed one tanning session in...I wasn't the happiest little girl...

INSTEAD we went to the mother land of Ottawa to see my rents before heading to Mont-Tremblant for some snowboarding, and spa-ing. So we had a winter vacation and to be honest it was awesome!

First stop, the Rideau Canal! I haven't been skating on it in YEARS and really thought I was much better at skating. It's around 8 km in length and is the world's largest skating rink. The best part about it is not so much the skating because like I said, I was brutal, but the delicious treat of the BEAVERTAIL!!!!

Okay so it's not an ice cold Pina Colada... but it was really warm and yummy!

Then onto Mont-Tremblant for a couple of days. The weather and conditions weren't too bad, little windy but amazing snow, having been to Blue Mountain the weekend prior, it was a big improvement!

The next day we went to the Scandinave Spa.. UNREAL. Similary to le spa nordik in Chelsea QC, they offer baths and saunas at different temperatures. The idea is to spend 10-15 minutes in a hot bath and then head to a colder temperature bath (I didn't part take in this step too often, you kidding me?) They even had the option to jump in the river if you were brave enough. The boy was brave but me on the other hand was happy to hold the towel. There are also theses relaxation rooms which you are supposed to spend about 10-15 minutes in between the two temperatures. Our fav was the Norwegian steam bath, it was nuts! Another fav of mine was the massage I had, GOD I love massages :)

All in all it was a week off which was just what the doctor ordered! NOW back to reality. Job, school, and long-distance relationship... F U N... haha I'm just kidding, I'm not going to go run off a bridge or anything, but it was fun!

OH AND JUST A 1/2 marathon in about a week or so...WHAT AM I GOING TO WEAR!!? oh dear god.

LOVE DAY

I LOVE LOVE DAY!
Valentines Day to some, LOVE DAY to me

so I have a bunch of this school work to do... and just came in from hot sweaty yoga but all I can think about is LOVE DAY!

I feel as though I am the only one that still wears red or pink that day. NO MATTER WHAT.
I was always the girl in elementary school totally decked out for theme days. LOVE EM. I probably get this from my Grams who definitely has a theme Tabi sweater for every holiday; with a matching turtleneck. God love her.

Speaking of love, what the heck am I going to wear to impress my man?! Who am I kidding, he would probably rather something along the lines of nothing but thats no fun. I'm a romantic, I want to look romantic. LACE AND FLOWERS it is.

Check out this really cute lace dress from Urban Outfitters that I MAY or MAY not purchase.

And now for a little floral. I think just a touch will do... check out the cute watch I found at Anthropologie...oh yeah I love watches too, kinda got a little collection going... It's hard to see form the picture but I think its just the right amount of floral on your wrist other than a corsage... ohooo Prom! Remember prom? Good times.

OKay I think this is enough procrastination for one night...oh I will leave you with a secret Valentine's day indulgence I have...it's killing me to not throw these bad boys in the oven!!!

p.s. this challenge... yeah I am totally failing. It's a strength to admit failure right? yeah well it sucks...I am still trying but to be honest its not fun...

p.p.s. AM OBSESSED WITH LA ROUX, LISTEN TO HER, SHE WILL CHANGE YOUR WORLD.
