Spring Break or Reading Week learning of 2010. Last minute vacations a.k.a those all inclusive deals : Not a good idea. Some of you are probably saying DUH... but I had faith that my boy and I were going to find a good deal. We literally waited for two or three days before booking because we thought that would be cheapest... ya not so much... lets just say I was completely packed, had a mani pedi and even squeezed one tanning session in...I wasn't the happiest little girl...
INSTEAD we went to the mother land of Ottawa to see my rents before heading to Mont-Tremblant for some snowboarding, and spa-ing. So we had a winter vacation and to be honest it was awesome!

First stop, the Rideau Canal! I haven't been skating on it in YEARS and really thought I was much better at skating. It's around 8 km in length and is the world's largest skating rink. The best part about it is not so much the skating because like I said, I was brutal, but the delicious treat of the BEAVERTAIL!!!!
Okay so it's not an ice cold Pina Colada... but it was really warm and yummy!
Then onto Mont-Tremblant for a couple of days. The weather and conditions weren't too bad, little windy but amazing snow, having been to Blue Mountain the weekend prior, it was a big improvement!
The next day we went to the Scandinave Spa.. UNREAL. Similary to le spa nordik in Chelsea QC, they offer baths and saunas at different temperatures. The idea is to spend 10-15 minutes in a hot bath and then head to a colder temperature bath (I didn't part take in this step too often, you kidding me?) They even had the option to jump in the river if you were brave enough. The boy was brave but me on the other hand was happy to hold the towel. There are also theses relaxation rooms which you are supposed to spend about 10-15 minutes in between the two temperatures. Our fav was the Norwegian steam bath, it was nuts! Another fav of mine was the massage I had, GOD I love massages :)
All in all it was a week off which was just what the doctor ordered! NOW back to reality. Job, school, and long-distance relationship... F U N... haha I'm just kidding, I'm not going to go run off a bridge or anything, but it was fun!
OH AND JUST A 1/2 marathon in about a week or so...WHAT AM I GOING TO WEAR!!? oh dear god.
xo
